ADULT SUNDAY STUDIES  for SPRING 2023 9:30-10:30am in Classroom A

Adult Studies is a a book study of “Liturgy of the Ordinary” by Tish Warren. Mary Schmitz and Beverly Hooker will lead the class.

2023 BOOK SCHEDULE:

May 9 - This month, everyone is asked to read any book from the Armand Gamache detective series by Louise Penny. Cathy Bailey will lead discussion of the characters and the town of Three Pines, who appear in each book. Need a book? See Cathy Bailey, who still has a few available to lend.

June 13 -- West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge, led by Janice Hill

We will take a break in July, and for the second half of the year we will read the following books-- leaders and month to come:
The Library, by Susan Orlean

Ordinary Grace, by William Kent Krueger

Reading Lolita in Tehran, by Azar Nafisi

The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles -- ? (I noticed some hesitancy by those present so we will consider again later in the year)

JOHNSON AUXILIARY collects items all year long—current needs are men’s casual shoes (all sizes, new or gently used), men's new underwear - large and XL, Women's shoes (casual) sizes 9 and up, women's plus size clothing, new women's underwear - all sizes,, and hygiene items (toothpaste; toothbrushes; large combs and brushes, particularly those for detangling hair).
